Advocacy Program
- The advocacy program ensures that the interests of the City are represented at the state and federal levels of government and is monitored by the City's Legislative Advocacy Committee
- The Legislative Advocacy Committee monitors pending legislation and funding opportunities that may impact our community and establishes a Legislative Platform in coordination with City staff for annual approval by the City Council
- The Legislative Platform serves as a reference document for legislative positions providing guidance to the City Council, Legislate Advocacy Committee and staff in considering legislative proposals introduced at the State and Federal levels in a timely manner
- The purpose is to coordinate and advance the City's legislative agenda to enhance its ability to govern and provide essential municipal and community services
