The City of Chino Hills is improving its infrastructure through the Ramona Avenue Water Main Replacement and Street Improvements project, which includes replacing the existing water main to enhance potable water service. The project will also reconstruct the roadway, increasing reliability and long-term durability. Construction is tentatively scheduled to begin in winter 2025.
Project Description:
The project will replace an older water main with approximately 800 linear feet of new PVC pipe along Ramona Avenue, enhancing water service reliability. Additionally, pavement rehabilitation will take place from Bird Farm Road to Mesa Boulevard, including full-depth roadway reconstruction and striping restoration.
Location:
Most of the work will take place on Ramona Avenue between Bird Farm Road and Mesa Boulevard. The project limits are outlined in the Location Map.
Current Construction Activities:
- Construction is anticipated to begin in winter 2025, with completion expected by spring 2026.
- Work hours will be from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding City holidays.
- Partial lane closures and a flagging operation will be in place throughout construction.
- Drivers, especially those commuting to Chaparral Elementary via Ramona Avenue, should expect delays, consider alternative routes, and exercise caution in work zones.
