Graffiti Abatement

About Graffiti Abatement

The City of Chino Hills Volunteer Graffiti Abatement Team helps keep the City graffiti free.

Team members respond to and immediately abate graffiti that is on City property, light poles, etc. Volunteers donate as much or as little time as they have available to the Graffiti Abatement Team’s efforts.

Team members mostly respond to graffiti when:

  • City staff notifies volunteers of a location that needs attention
  • Volunteers observe graffiti in or around their neighborhoods

For graffiti that is observed on private residential property, the City contacts the property owner regarding the need to remove the graffiti. If the property owner is not able to remove the graffiti, the owner may sign a waiver, which allows our volunteers to remove the graffiti.

For graffiti that is observed on commercial or Home Owners Association properties, the City’s Code Enforcement Division issues a Notice of Violation; directing the property owner to abate the graffiti.
