The Metropolitan Water District’s Turf Removal Program is back! You may be eligible to receive a rebate for removing turf on your property. The goal of this program is to reduce your outdoor water consumption and potential runoff that may come from your irrigation system.
A landscape design is required to participate in the Turf Removal Program. Residential customers can have a custom landscape design created for them through the Chino Basin Water Conservation District. As part of the Landscape Design Assistance Program, residents must register for a class the will go over the following topics:
- The process for a successful home turf removal project including: design, turf removal, irrigation improvements, planting, and establishment
- How to qualify for the current turf removal rebate
- The local no-cost (with deposit) residential Landscape Design Assistance Program that will provide you with a custom design for your project*
- Other local rebates and programs
