Community Information Meeting
Landscape and Lighting in Chino Hills
Chino Hills is well known for its high quality of life with 43 parks, 3,000 acres of open space, and 48 miles of trails. These amenities help make Chino Hills a special place. Because of changes in legislation over the years, about half of the City's residents pay a Landscape & Lighting District assessment, ranging from $50 to $500 per year, on their annual property tax bill to fund maintenance of these areas. Rates haven't been raised in over 20 years and the General Fund is now making up a $500,000 shortfall that is projected to grow exponentially.
A meeting was held to provide residents with some background information.
