About

On Tuesday, August 6, 2019 neighborhoods throughout Chino Hills are invited to join forces with thousands of communities nationwide for the  Annual National Night Out (NNO) crime and drug prevention event.

Share the event flyer with you neighbors!

What is National Night Out?

National Night Out is an annual community building campaign that promotes
police/community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make neighborhoods safer, more caring
places to live. Neighborhoods across the nation participate each year and host pot lucks, ice cream socials, block gatherings, and activities for kids.

Your participation in this annual event tells others that you:
  • Want to make your neighborhood safer
  • Want to build a strong relationship with public safety officials
  • Want to promote a sense of community

NNO is designed to:
  • Decrease crime
  • Strengthen neighborhood spirit and police/community partnerships

It's A Good Night To Get To Know Your Neighbors!
The City has been helping neighborhoods organize NNO events since 2005.  In 2018, the City's NNO event was ranked #19 for cities with a population between 50,000 and 100,000.  There were 21 events and 1,135 residents participated!  Start talking with your neighbors to plan your own neighborhood event!

Register Your Event!
Register your event online by July 15 and you will receive a neighborhood organizing kit (while supplies last), and assistance with flyers for the event. City Council Members, Chino Hills Police Deputies, Citizens on Patrol, Chino Valley Fire, and McGruff the crime fighting dog will visit as many registered events as possible. Due to the number of events planned in Chino Hills, it isn't possible for each agency to visit all of the events. Police, Fire, and City officials will fan out in the community with the goal that each event will have one of them visit. However, due to time limitations, a visit is not guaranteed!
