About Healthy Hills
The City of Chino Hills is proud to have been designated a California Healthy City. What are California Healthy Cities and Communities? Healthy Cities make efforts to engage their communities and promote healthy living. Healthy living efforts include economic, environmental, social, and physical issues.

The Chino Hills Healthy Hills program encourages residents to work together
to keep our city clean, vital, diverse, and safe. Encouraging residents to engage in these efforts broadens community control and community participation. We also develop programs that support healthy lifestyles for our residents such as hiking days, tree planting events, and healthy recipe give-aways. We strive to provide opportunities for every family member to make a lasting difference and to improve the quality of life in Chino Hills using the following criteria:

  • Health & Wellness
  • Community Beautification
  • Active Lifestyle
  • Lifelong Learning
  • Family Wellness

Our Mission

Healthy Hills supports programs and services that emphasize healthy minds, bodies, and spirits in order to promote a positive quality of life and develop a well-rounded community.

Arbor Day Tree Planting Project

Hollow Run Nature Park
15959 Peyton Drive

Saturday, April 27, 2019
8:00am – 12:00pm

Come join the City of Chino Hills and the California Conservation Corps for the City’s first Arbor Day celebration!  Encourage your family, friends, schools, neighbors, clubs, and service organizations to come out and help plant trees!

Participants may park on the east side of Peyton Drive between Bayberry Drive and Autumn Avenue to access Hollow Run Nature Park. The City’s Public Works Department staff and City contractors West Coast Arborist and Excel Landscape will be on site providing assistance and education. Funding for the project is through an Environmental Enhancement and Mitigation grant to improve the urban forest. City staff will have approximately 150 trees ready to plant at the event including Coast Live Oak, California Sycamore, and White Alder species. This project will help the City of Chino Hills meet requirements to earn the “Tree City USA” designation.
