Consideration to Fill Vacancy
Within sixty (60) days of a Council vacancy occurring, Government Code Section 36512 requires the City Council to either fill the vacancy by appointment of an eligible elector (an individual who is currently living in the City of Chino Hills and is a registered voter), or call a special election.  At its July 11, 2017 meeting, the City Council discussed the process to fill the unscheduled vacancy and voted to fill the vacancy by appointment of an eligible elector and to solicit applications for review.
