Chino Hills Boat Parade
The Tradition Continues . . .
Friday, December 21, 2018

The 27th Annual Chino Hills Boat Parade, presented by the Kiwanis Club of Chino Hills, begins promptly at 7:00 pm on Friday, December 21. ABC7 meteorologist Leslie Lopez, who grew up in Chino Hills, will serve as the parade’s first Grand Marshal. Check parade-viewing tips and the map that includes the route, parking, and road closures. Plan to arrive early!

Decorated boats and other entries will travel north along Peyton Drive to continue the tradition started by residents in 1991. The parade starts at Eucalyptus Avenue, heads north on Peyton Drive, turns right on Boys Republic Drive, enters Boys Republic (private property) to travel back to Eucalyptus Avenue, then heads west back to Chino Hills Community Park.

New This Year!

For the first time ever, announcers will be stationed near the monument sign at Ayala High School to provide commentary and introduce parade participants. Rockstars of Tomorrow will be performing in the same area from 5:45 – 6:45 pm. Plan to arrive early to park at Ayala High School. Northbound Peyton Drive closes at Eucalyptus Avenue at 5:00 pm.

From the Grand Avenue side, Peyton Drive closes at Payne Ranch Road / Post Office at 5:00 pm, but motorists will be allowed past the closure southbound for access ONLY to Bulldog Blvd. to park at Ayala High School until 6:00 pm.

Motorists can travel north from Chino Hills Parkway to park at Chino Valley Community Church, 14601 Peyton Drive, until the lot reaches capacity. Parking is also available at the Chino Hills Government Center, the nearby parking structure, and the overflow parking lot south of Shoppes Drive.

Road closure times are subject to change and are put in place for the safety of the public. Roads must be closed as spectators begin lining up and excited children spill out into the street.

Parade Entries
The American Cowgirls Rodeo Drill Team will kick-off the parade and Santa will end the parade with many local youth groups, non-profits, and dignitaries along the way. Chino Hills High School’s drum line and Brass Ensemble will perform.

After Party
