Open Space Management Plan
 Chino Hills Open Space

The City of Chino Hills conducted an Open Space Management Plan Community Workshop this past September where residents were invited to learn more and provide input on one of the City’s most valuable resources, its community-owned open space and how it is managed.

The development of an Open Space Management Plan is a significant, multi-faceted approach to preserving, enhancing, and managing our 3,000 acres of community-owned open space. This essential plan development project was made possible, in part, by a Sustainable Communities grant awarded by the California Strategic Growth Council.

The City is currently working on a draft Open Space Management Plan with an accompanying report that incorporates the input received at the workshop and meets the needs of the community. City staff expects to present the plan to City Commissions sometime in Spring/Summer of 2013 before presenting the plan to the City Council.
