The Work comprises, but is not limited to: mobilization, traffic control, clearing and grubbing, earthwork and grading, removal of existing AC curb/dike, PCC curb, sidewalk, driveway aprons, walls, fences, sod, trees and vegetation, cold milling existing AC pavement; relocation of existing fence/gate, relocation of traffic sign/post; adjustment of utility vault/box, manhole frame and cover; construction of PCC sidewalk, PCC driveway aprons, curb and gutter, curb drain, retaining wall/curb, curb ramps, cross-gutter, AC pavement overlay; signing and striping, street light conduits, conductors, lights and pull boxes, and other related work.

FUNDING REQUIREMENTS: Project is funded by grant funding from SBCTA (San Bernardino County Transportation Authority) and CDBG (Community Development Block Grant) funds, and general funds. CDBG requirements will apply to the contract.

*Mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting:  Prospective bidders are required to attend a pre-bid meeting which will be held on Thursday, July 11, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at the Chino Hills City Hall, Council Chambers, 14000 City Center Drive, Chino Hills, CA 91709. Failure to participate in the pre-bid meeting will render a bidder non-responsive.

The Contractor shall possess a valid Class A or C8 Contractor's license at the time of submitting bids.
Special Requirements:
10% Bid Bond, 100% Performance Bond, 100% Payment Bond. It shall be mandatory, upon the contractor to whom the contract is awarded, and upon any subcontractor under him, to pay not less than the prevailing rate of wages as established by the City Council as they apply to the work being performed. Said prevailing rates are available from the State of California Department of Industrial Relations website (***See link under Description). Furthermore, minimum wage rates as predetermined by the Department of Labor (***See Federal link under Description), apply to this project as well. If there is a difference between the minimum wage rates predetermined by the State of California or the Federal Department of Labor for similar classifications of labor, the Contractor and his subcontractors shall pay not less than the higher wage rate.
