| The Contractor shall possess a valid Class A Contractor's license at the time of submitting bids. The Contractor is required to complete a Bidder's Qualification Form & Contractor's Project Listing (included in Section 1.3.7.1 Bid Documents) certifying that they have met the minimum acceptable experience for performing the necessary work. To be qualified, bidder must have the experience, manpower, and equipment necessary and have successfully completed a minimum of three (3) projects of similar-type, water main projects (with installation of water lines greater than or equal to 3,000 linear feet in length per project), and in addition, bidders must have completed three (3) similar-type street improvement projects (construction of curb & gutter, curb ramps, and/or pavement rehabilitation) for a government or public agency within the last five (5) years. If a combined water and street improvement rehabilitation project is intended to count as two separate qualifying projects, this must be explicitly stated in the bid submission.

It shall be mandatory, upon the contractor to whom the contract is awarded, and upon any subcontractor under him, to pay not less than the prevailing rate of wages as established by the City Council as they apply to the work being performed. Said prevailing rates are available from the State of California Department of Industrial Relations website (**See link under Description).
