All Fireworks Are Illegal in Chino Hills

All fireworks, even safe and sane fireworks, are illegal in the City of Chino Hills. The Chino Valley Fire District (CVFD) and the Chino Hills Police/Sheriff’s Department are teaming up to patrol the community to catch violators and issue criminal citations. Fines charged by the court for using fireworks, including safe and sane fireworks, in Chino Hills can be as high as $1,000 and up to one year in jail. Parents/guardians will be held liable for any fire suppression costs, damages, or injuries caused by their children’s use of fireworks. Residents can help keep Chino Hills homes and the dry hills safe from fire by reporting all use of fireworks in Chino Hills. Please call Chino Hills Police Dispatch at (909) 465-6837 to report any use of fireworks.

CVFD will be hosting a fireworks safe surrender event on Saturday, July 9 from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm at the CVFD Training Center located at 5092 Schaefer Avenue in the City of Chino. All fireworks will be accepted, no questions asked.
