The Kiwanis Club of Chino Hills invites residents and local groups to register to participate in the 29th annual Chino Hills Boat Parade on Friday, December 10. The Kiwanis Club is seeking involvement from decorated boats and non-boat entries such as bands, equestrians, golf carts, and more. Registration has been extended through Friday, December 3. Crowds enjoy watching decorated boats and entries cruise north on Peyton Drive starting at Eucalyptus Avenue beginning at 7:00 pm.
There is a mandatory meeting for parade participants on Wednesday, December 8 at 7:00 pm at the Chino Hills Community Center located at 14250 Peyton Drive. The meeting date and time are subject to change. The registration packet including general information, an application, and required documents is available online. A completed registration packet must be submitted and approved to participate. Participation is limited so early registration is encouraged.
During the parade, announcers will be located along Peyton Drive at the corner of Eucalyptus Avenue and a second location at the corner of Boys Republic Drive and will share information about parade entries. Glow sticks will be given out along the parade route while supplies last. Chino Valley Community Church (CVCC) hosts an after-party and awards ceremony immediately following the conclusion of the parade at 14601 Peyton Drive. The Kiwanis Club will present awards for Best Lights, Best Humor/Originality, Most Patriotic, and a Mayor’s Award. CVCC provides a holiday atmosphere with live music, baked goods, warm drinks, Santa, and more.
