FY 2019-20 Street Improvement Project Underway

Street Improvement - Newsflash

Chino Hills, CA – The City of Chino Hills’ next pavement project started on Monday, June 8 and is anticipated to be completed in early August. A notification letter was mailed out to all affected residents/owners the week of May 18. The specific schedule of street repairs can be found on the City’s website, www.chinohills.org/StreetImprovement. Schedules are subject to change due to weather conditions, etc.

This $1.4 million contract was awarded to All American Asphalt on April 28, 2020. The work comprises, but is not limited to crack sealing, limited pavement repairs (patching), and some pavement grinding depending on the existing condition of the street. Repainting of pavement striping, stop bars and legends, and reflective pavement markers will complete the work.

The following are residential work areas included in this project:

  • Summit Ranch - Carbon Canyon
  • Green Valley - West of Peyton Drive and south of Chino Hills Parkway
  • Mountain View Tract - On both sides of Pipeline Avenue and south of Soquel Canyon Parkway
  • Rolling Ridge - Neighborhoods north of Grand Avenue, south of Chino Avenue, and between Calle San Marcos and Peyton Drive
  • Images Tract - South of Grand Avenue between Pacific Vista and Fontainbleau Lane
  • Galloping Hills Road – Neighborhood north of Eucalyptus Avenue

Work hours will be from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. No parking signs will be posted on streets at least 48 hours in advance of the scheduled work. “Door hangers” will be posted at least 48 hours in advance at the areas/streets receiving slurry seal treatment. Residents are advised to park their vehicles outside the repair work limits if they plan to travel during the construction work.

Street repairs, although necessary, do create some inconvenience to the residents. Every effort is made to minimize the impact of the work. Questions regarding the project should be directed to Fe Rama, Senior Engineer, at (909) 354-2776.
