There are numerous community events that residents of the City and surrounding areas look forward to each year. This section features easy access to specific information on the many annual and seasonal community events and activities as they draw near.
Santa has asked his friends at the City of Chino Hills to help him by forwarding all letters from the Chino Hills children to his home in the North Pole!
Letters must be dropped off between Monday, November 18 - Friday, December 6.

Celebrate the holiday season with residents of Chino Hills at the City's Tree Lighting Ceremony. Come enjoy a craft fair, live entertainment, arts and crafts, face painting, and a special visit from Santa Claus! All ages are welcome! Join us in supporting the Chino Hills Police Department's fourth annual toy drive. Support their cause by bringing an unwrapped toy worth $10.00 and get a photo taken with Santa! The toy drive will benefit Chino Hills families in need.

Do you have the most festive house in your neighborhood? Or would you like to submit an entry for holiday decorations you've seen in Chino Hills? The City of Chino Hills invites residents to participate in the Annual Holiday Home Decorating Contest. One winner will be chosen from each of the following categories: Best Holiday Spirit, Classic Holiday, Best in Show.

Entry Deadline: Friday, December 6
Judging will take place the week of December 9 and winners will be notified by December 16. All winners will receive a special yard sign, a gift certificate, and recognition at the January 14, 2020 City Council meeting.
Join us for a pancake breakfast prepared by the Kiwanis Club of Chino Hills, holiday fun, crafts, and pictures with Santa! Tickets must be purchased by December 11.

During the holiday season, Santa and his elves visit homes in the City of Chino Hills, bringing candy canes, smiles, and laughter to everyone they see. Space is limited so register early!
Registration opens: Wednesday, November 6
Register at the City Hall Recreation Office, 14000 City Center Drive.
Visit Dates: December 7, 8, 13, 14, 15
Visits Available: 4:00 - 9:30 pm (each visit is limited to 15 minutes)
Price: $40 per visit
A minimum of three consecutive reservations per night must be scheduled for Santa to visit.
Only the first and last two evening time slots will be available for two consecutive reservations, resulting in a single half hour visit. depending on schedule availability.
The Kiwanis Club of Chino Hills invites the community to the Chino Hills Boat Parade on Friday, December 13 at 7:00 p.m. Crowds arrive early to park and will gather on the parade route, which starts on Peyton Drive at Eucalyptus Avenue. Decorated boats and other entries will travel north along Peyton Drive, then east along Boys Republic Drive, to continue the tradition started by residents in 1991. The Kiwanis Club is seeking additional involvement from non-boat entries such as bands, equestrians, and others who may want to participate.
