Only one gallon of motor oil will pollute one million gallons of water! Recycling is the only environmentally safe and legal method to dispose of used oil. Chino Hills residential customers may visit the Utility Billing Services counter, on the 2nd floor of City Hall, during normal business hours to pick up a special used motor oil container, used motor oil filter container, funnel, wrench, and shop rag. Limit one per resident, per visit, while supplies lasts.
WM offers free pickup of residentially-generated, used motor oil and used oil filters. All used motor oil must be placed in a screw top container to avoid spills. Used oil filters must be placed in sealed plastic bags. Contact WM Customer Care at (800) 423-9986 to schedule a pickup.
Chino Hills residents can also drop off their used motor oil and filters on the 2nd and 4th Saturday of each month from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the City of Chino Public Works Service Center, located at 5050 Schaefer Avenue, Chino, CA 91710. In December, the schedule may be affected due to holiday closures. Please call to verify the schedule for the 4th Saturday of December. The Service Center can be reached directly at (909) 334-3472.
