Chino Hills Skate Park
Chino Hills Skate Park Renovation Project
The City of Chino Hills is excited to announce a project to renovate the existing 20-year-old Chino Hills Skate Park. The project scope will potentially include adding lighting, shade structures, seating, repairing existing areas, and updating the skate area to increase its functionality. The City has retained Newline Skateparks, a global leading full-service planning, design, and construction firm specializing in the development of concrete skate parks, to conduct community workshops and collect feedback that will drive the improved design to best meet the needs of the community.
Community Workshop #1
The City hosted its first Community Workshop on November 15, 2023. The goal of the workshop was to gather community input on the existing skate park and gain insight into creating a space that caters to both beginners and experienced skateboarders. A online survey was conducted November 15-29 for those unable to attend the Community Workshop. Information was also gathered on potential future expansion options for the undeveloped north end of the park.
Community Workshop #2 - February 21, 2024
The City hosted its second Community Workshop on February 21, 2024. During this workshop, the City’s consultant provided an overview of the community feedback collected from the first workshop and online survey held in November 2023, and present initial skate park design options for attendees to provide feedback on.
Online Survey - Currently Open until March 6
