County Facilities at Government Center CLOSED to the Public

  • James S. Thalman Chino Hills Branch Library (March 17 – until further notice) Note:  Book returns are not being accepted.  Customers may return books when the Library reopens.  Fines will not be charged.


  • Chino Hills Skate Park & Parking Lot
  • Vila Borba Dog Park & Parking Lot
  • All Playgrounds and Exercise Stations
  • Volleyball and Basketball Courts
  • All Gazebos are Closed - Reservations Have Been Cancelled and No New Reservations Will Be Taken
  • Parking Lots are Closed at English Springs Park, Chino Hills Community Park (partial), Grand Avenue Park, Big League Dreams Sports Park / Fairfield Ranch Park
  • Entry Gates to Chino Hills Community Park Field Access are Closed

Modified Services at Chino Hills City Hall 

  • Water Service Disconnections are Postponed
  • Street Sweeping Tickets Are Not Being Issued
  • Passport Processing is Suspended
  • Yard Sale Permits are Suspended


  • Reservations for Recreation Facilities, Conference Rooms, and Gazebos are Cancelled
  • All Recreation Classes, Programs, Activities and Events are Cancelled Including Summer Concerts & Movies in the Park, and Summer Day Camp
  • Aquatics / Swim Lessons are Cancelled for 2020
  • Teen Activity Center
  • Mobile Recreation

Republic Services Trash Pickup

Effective March 30, 2020 Republic Services has made some service modifications. 

  • Drivers will no longer be allowed to leave their vehicle to pick up waste outside of the cart. 
  • Bulky item pickup and e-waste programs will be suspended. 
  • Curbside recycling and yard waste collection services WILL remain in place. 
  • Commercial accounts with fewer than six-day-pickup will be serviced Monday - Friday only.

Household Hazardous Waste

The following Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) locations are open to the public:

  • City of Rialto - Maintenance Yard
    246 S. Willow Avenue
    2nd and 4th Friday and Saturday
    8:00 am - 12:00 pm
  • City of Upland - Maintenance Yard
    1370 North Benson
    Every Saturday (starting May 16)
    9:00 am - 2:00 pm
  • All other HHW locations will remain closed until further notice.
