Los Serranos Infrastructure Improvements – Safe Routes to School (West) – Project No. S19005

Project Description:

The work comprises, but is not limited to: mobilization, traffic control, clearing and grubbing, earthwork and grading, removal of existing AC curb/dike, PCC curb, sidewalk, driveway aprons, walls, fences, sod, trees and vegetation, cold milling existing AC pavement; relocation of existing fence/gate, relocation of traffic sign/post; adjustment of utility vault/box, manhole frame and cover; construction of PCC sidewalk, PCC driveway aprons, curb and gutter, curb drain, retaining wall/curb, curb ramps, cross-gutter, AC pavement overlay; signing and striping, street light conduits, conductors, lights and pull boxes, and other related work.

South Side of Gird Avenue between Pipeline Avenue and Del Norte Avenue
South Side of Lugo Avenue between Pipeline Avenue and Del Norte Avenue
South Side of El Molino Boulevard between Pipeline Avenue and Montecito Drive

Trail Improvements:
Val Verde Street right of way between Gird Avenue and Country Club Drive

Current Construction Activities:

The project is well underway, with all street light conduit in place awaiting approval and permit issuance from So. Cal. Edison.  Curb and gutter has been placed on Lugo Avenue and El Molino Avenue, with Gird Avenue planned for curb and gutter construction the week of 12/16.  Pavement grinding should occur on 12/17, with asphalt paving planned for 12/18, 12/19 and 12/20.  The walking path in Val Verde street right of way should begin after the first of the year.  City Hall will be closed from 12/24/19 through 1/1/20.  The contractor will not be allowed to work while the City is closed.
