Summer Aquatics & Day Camp Scholarship

The Chino Hills Community Foundation funds scholarships to help economically-disadvantaged youth participate in the City of Chino Hills’ Summer Day Camp and Aquatics programs. Applications will be accepted starting February 3 through March 26. Limited funding is available, with priority given to first time applicants.

Youth Day Camp Scholarship Program

The Chino Hills Summer Day Camp is a 9 week program designed to involve children from ages 6-12 in a safe, fun, active, and educational environment. It is geared toward creativity in arts and crafts, sports, games, indoor activities, and the opportunity to make new friends. Summer Day Camp will be offered at Grand Avenue Park Community Building, 1301 Grand Avenue, and Mystic Canyon Park Community Building, 6424 Mystic Canyon Drive. Scholarships are awarded for all 9 weeks of the program.

Aquatics Scholarship Program

The City of Chino Hills’ offers one-week group swim lessons to teach kids how to have fun in and around the pool while learning stroke development, basic swimming skills, and water safety. Group lessons meet 5 times for 45 minutes per class, with 4-6 students per instructor. Scholarships are awarded for up to 3 weeks of classes.

Eligibility Requirements

Please provide copies of the required documents.

  1. Must be a Chino Hills resident.
  2. Gross annual household income may not exceed the thresholds per HUD income requirements (see table below).  Proof of income must be provided, including a copy of your most recent tax return and copies of your most recent pay stubs dated within 30 days of the application date.
  3. Copy of a birth certificate is required for each dependent.
  4. Proof of residency required.  Please provide a copy of a utility bill.
