2013 Chino Hills Day at the Fair
Come Join Us on Friday, September 20th
LA County Fair
Fairplex, home of the 2013 L.A. County Fair, has long been a proud partner to Chino Hills.  In fact, the L.A. County Fair has honored our Chino Hills community for over 10 years, as part of their commitment to local communities by hosting the Annual L.A. County Fair Community Days Program. Each year the Chino Hills Community Committee, a local L.A. County Fair planning committee, comprised of 19 residents and community leaders, coordinates and plans the day-long festivities for Chino Hills Day at the Fair. This year, Chino Hills Day at the Fair will be held on Friday, September 20th. Save the date on your calendar and plan to join us for the day-long fun!

Nominate a Chino Hills Community Hero to be honored at the 2013 L.A. County Fair
Community Heroes work tirelessly to make a difference. They volunteer at our schools, churches, hospitals and more. Consistently, they selflessly devote their time and efforts, going above and beyond without thought of reward or recognition. They simply do the good deeds they do because they want to make a difference in the Community and in the lives of others. If you know someone who does just that, why not recognize them? Please nominate an unrecognized community hero in Chino Hills!

This year’s deadline for nominations is Monday, July 1, 2013. You can nominate an adult or a youth Community Hero.

2013 Community Hero Nomination Form

The form, once complete, should be mailed directly to the Fair at the following address - L.A. County Fair, Attn: Shanell Fuquay, 1101 W. McKinley Avenue, Pomona, CA 91768, faxed to (909) 629-2067, or emailed to e-mail. If you have any questions, please contact the Community Relations Division at (909) 364-2618.

Big Yellow Bus Program
Big Yellow Bus Logo
The Big Yellow Bus Program raises funds to offset the cost of bus transportation to the L.A. County Fair for students in Chino Hills.  Your support will provide the children in Chino Hills with an education-packed day at the L.A. County Fair this coming September.  To support "a day full of learning cleverly disguised as fun" for local school children, visit www.fairplex.com/bus.

Chino Hills Day at the Fair Parade
Each year the Chino Hills Day at the Fair parade offers exciting, unique, and diverse entries that honor our Chino Hills community, the days Community Heroes, and showcase Fair attractions. The parade kicks off at 5:00 pm and winds its way through the L.A County Fairgrounds with thousands lining the parade route to catch a glimpse of Chino Hills dignitaries, groups, and interesting parade entries.

Participating groups are limited to a maximum of 25 people and a maximum of one parade vehicle in order to accommodate as many groups as possible.  Any exceptions (such as marching bands) must be approved in advance by the Entertainment Department.  To participate in the parade you must fill out and submit a parade application.  Parade applications will be available in mid-May.
