Infrastructure Construction Projects
Projects
The Engineering Department is primarily responsible for providing construction management, contract administration and inspection services to all City public improvement construction projects. These projects may be funded through Assessment Districts, Community Facilities Districts, Capital Improvements, City, State or Federal Funds. Current Engineering infrastructure construction projects are as follows:
| High Zone Recycled Water Reservoirs |
| Description: |
The proposed construction will provide 2.5 million gallons of recycled water storage that will serve the Vellano golf course, adjacent neighborhoods and future projects within the H1 and H2 zones. |
| Location: |
One reservoir is located north of Vellano Club Drive between Celano Court and Colinas Pointe. The other reservoir is located north of Venezia Terrace and south of Tall Oak Road. |
| Status: |
Construction activities kicked-off on May 17, 2010. The project is expected to conclude mid-April 2011.
Current Construction Activities:
Dirt hauling on Valley Springs has concluded, although additional dirt hauling may be required at a later date. Grading operations are underway on the R41 and R-42 reservoir sites. |

| Los Serranos Infrastructure Improvements - SRTS Phase 1 |
| Description: |
The proposed construction will provide sidewalks, ADA accessible ramps, curb/gutter and street lights in the Los Serranos Neighborhood. |

| Peyton Drive Improvement Project - Phase 2A |
| Description: |
The proposed construction will provide storm drain and recycled water facilities on Peyton Drive between English Road and Eucalyptus Avenue. |

| Status: |
Contract was awarded on June 8, 2010. Construction is expected to conclude early September 2010.
Current Construction Activities:
The project will start on June 28, 2010 with demolition activities.
On June 30, storm drain construction will begin just south of Eucalyptus Avenue and proceed north. Eucalyptus Avenue will be closed between Peyton Drive and the entrance of Community Park on July 6 between 7:00 am and 6:00 pm to facilitate the construction of the storm drain crossing Eucalyptus Avenue. |

| Rehabilitation of Peyton Drive from Chino Hills Parkway to Woodview Road |
| Description: |
The project consists of placing an Asphalt Rubber and Aggregate Membrane (ARAM) interlayer over the existing pavement surface and constructing a 1-1/2” thick asphalt concrete (AC) cap over the ARAM interlayer. |

Contract has been awarded. Construction is expected to last to mid-late August 2010.

The project is anticipated to start July 6, 2010. |

| Rehabilitation of Canyon Hills Road from Carbon Canyon Road (SR 142) to Spring Creek Way |
| Description: |
The proposed project will include selective patching of pavement followed by the setting of an Asphalt Rubber and Aggregate Membrane (ARAM) interlayer. The project will conclude with a full width asphalt overlay. |

Contract was awarded on June 8, 2010. Construction is expected to last six (6) weeks.

The project is anticipated to start in July, 2010. |
