Senior Scholarships
The Chino Hills Community Foundation, a non-profit organization, funds the Senior Scholarship Program to assist very low income seniors, 50 years and older, who reside within the City of Chino Hills.  Scholarships are limited to $125 per fiscal year (July through June), per person, and may be used for recreation classes, special events, program, or trips offered by the City of Chino Hills.  Scholarships may be used for the registration fee, but may not be used for material or supplies necessary for the class.  Programs excluded for scholarship use include trips involving gambling (i.e. racetrack and casino trips). 

Eligibility & Requirements
  1. Must be 50 years old and older to receive funding and be a Chino Hills resident. Please submit a copy of your driver's license and copy of a utility bill. 
  2. Gross annual household income may not exceed the thresholds per HUD income requirements. Proof of income is required.  Please sumbit a copy of the prior year's complete tax return and/or other proof of income (i.e. SSI).
  3. Each applicant in the family must have a seperate completed scholarship application.   
  4. All information on the scholarship application must be completed. If a question does not apply, please indicate N/A.
  5. Fall Program Applications are due by July 31, 2014.  Please return application to:      In Person:

  1. Please select the appropriate class or event for your child's age and ability as he/she will not be granted a transfer to a different class or event once application has been processed.    
  2. Only completed applications with all required documents will be reviewed, on a first come, first serve basis and until all scholarship funds have been distributed. All applicants will be notified by mail.
  3. Scholarships are awarded for up to $125.00 per recipient and may be applied towards any recreation program from Fall 2014- Summer 2015. Scholarship cannot be used to pay class supply or material fee. All applicants are only eligible for one scholarship per year.
