The principal items of work include, but are not limited to: exposing the existing 6- and 8-inch PVC water main, replacing 1-inch service saddles and corporation stops; reconnecting existing 1-inch copper water services and air-valves, and installation of gate valves. The project consists of but not limited to: mobilization, traffic control, pavement removal, sheeting/shoring/bracing, installation of 8-inch gate valves, trench restoration and constructing 0.1-ft. thickness AC pavement overlay; residential notifications of water shut-offs in coordination with the city.

| The Contractor shall possess a valid Class A Contractor's license at the time of submitting bids.

It shall be mandatory, upon the contractor to whom the contract is awarded, and upon any subcontractor under him, to pay not less than the prevailing rate of wages as established by the City Council as they apply to the work being performed.
